Iāve been having heavy bleeding since September, after not having a period for 3 years. The only other time Iāve had this kinda of experience was in 2022 right as I needed to replace the first BC I got. I have been laughed at, made to feel crazy, put down, talked to like Iām a child. All by doctors. They have canceled my appointment 5 times, never calling to reschedule. They have said they would put my name into the important list to get me seen quicker, never happened. Iāve been lead on so many times. So I have an appointment today at 2:30pm I get there on time, check in, and within seconds of me sitting down they take me back to the room. I thought, āthat was so fast this is greatā Wrong I proceed to wait for almost 40 minutes. The gyno finally comes in, and I can instantly tell she has an attitude. I explain why I am there, (unnatural bleeding, intense pain, wanting to change BC), and she proceeded to say āoh you mean a period? Thatās normalā No, not for me. Not for someone who is in BC and hasnāt had a period in 3 years. I explain that to her. She sighs and tells me that my BC can last 5 years. I inform her that I am over my āsuggested BMIā and that it would last only 3 years. She says āwell letās seeā and goes to take my weight. 172 LBS, nothing I didnāt know. Iām very happy with my weight. She goes āMMMMMMMMMMM YEAH I SEE, you would be obseseā Excuse me? Okay whatever She brings me in and gets ready to replace it. I inform her itās in my left arm. She sighs and moves everything over. I also tell her that I tend to pass out when I get numbing shots. Itās something Iāve delt with my whole life. She brushes it off and tells me Iāll be fine. I pass out. I wake up to a nice assistant fanning me and giving me water. The gyno has her arms crossed and is just staring at me. Iām panicking at this point, crying. Iām humiliated. I ask if there is any other appointments available for that day, that I would wait for another opening. There is so much commotion that another Gyno comes in to see what happened. The nice Gyno starts arguing with the mean one. The nice gyno offers to take me in after her lunch. She then walks me down to the vending machine and gets me a soda and chips, to get my blood sugar up. And calm me down. After about 30 minutes I am seen my that lady, where I proceed to get 2 more numbing shots. But she is wonderful. She takes it slow and talks me through everything. I am finally listened to after 5 months of asking for help. I got my BC replaced I had the worst experience and the best in the same day, it was crazy. Iām so exhausted. Thanks for reading. Oh and yes, I filed a report against the other gyno. |
